Hi Everyone

Amy Here.

Welcome to the Summer Reading Challenge website. I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and brilliant New Year. On this site you will find all that you need to complete the Web Challenges that are listed on the back page of your handout. There are links at the bottom right of the home page that will take you to Tumblebooks, the Library website and the Whitcoulls top 50 kids books. If there is something you need on this page and it’s not here or if you need any help with anything, then email me at amy@wanganuilibrary.com and I’ll reply as soon as I can (despite what some of you may think I don’t live at the library!).
Some people have been asking me what a tumblebook is, so here is a basic explanation, a Tumblebook is a really cool book that basically reads itself. Click on the link below and you will be taken to a page that has categories of books you can read. Pick a category (I recommend the picture books) and have a look at one of the stories. After you’ve looked at all the books you want, click on “Tumblebooks” under categories and tell me which book you read, and what you thought of it (don;t forget to include your name).

If you want to blog about a book or rate a book from the library catalogue click on those links under categories on the right side of this page and follow the instructions there.

To tell us what you think of the new Library website, follow the link at the bottom of this page, take a look around, then come back here and tell us what you think under the link that says Library Website, under the categories heading.

Have fun with your web challenges and check out this page at least once a week to see who this weeks prize winners are.

Have Fun

Amy
